2021 Gift Guide, a look in our boxes
2021 gift guides, coming out earlier than ever!
In my post, Have yourself an Organized Christmas, I note that I sort my presents by Kid, St. Nick Stockings, Santa, and Santa Stockings. Here are the 2021 boxes for my kids. You will find a Sensory/Autism box (He is 7 and a sensory seeker), a 5 year old girl, and a 2 year old boy.
I keep track of my gifts and make sure not to over buy, over spend. I use my Christmas Gift Shopping guide available for FREE.
We attempt the Want, Needs, Wear, Read, Learn/Do with our gifting.
Sensory Autism Box (7 year old boy-sensory seeker)
Nolan is 7, non verbal, sensory seeking, and very happy with drumming and flapping the day away. We have MANY other sensory gifts in last years Sensory Gift Guide and then on our Supports page. It is important to know when you have a sensory seeker, a sensory gift can be a want as much as a need.
5 year old Girl
Stella is our 5 year old girly girl. She has an American Doll from when I was little, a couple barbies already. She loves art and all the little trinkets right now.
2 year old Boy
Bryce is a 2 year old boy. He loves anything with wheels right now. He loves things that go and it goes right along with him always on the go.
St. Nick
We are in Wisconsin and St. Nick is celebrated. We have him bring a couple gifts (want, need, pjs, book, treats) that fit in a stocking. He comes the night of the 5th, we open the stockings on the 6th. If the 6th is a school day we tend to open in the afternoon because our morning routine is too tight.
St. Nick brings books, matching pjs (purchased post photo, linked here), a little toy, and treats (candy coming later)

Santa Stockings
Santa also brings a book, pjs, a little toy and treats.

Santa
Santa gift bags save a lot of holiday stress. No special paper, no special hand writing, no hiding them. The kids put their bags out for Santa to fill, they open, and we store for a year until they put them out again. It has been a great blessing and time saver for us!
We try to keep Santa gifts to a minimum. There are many reasons for this and you can read it in our Santa vs Parents post.
The kids are getting a suitcase as we travel to the cottage quite a bit, they are always borrowing ours, they are carry on approved if they would ever fly (hopefully it will live with them for a LONG time) and it will hopefully go with them on their first road (if we can swing the trip).
