Why pack a doggie bag?

Honestly, the dogs are often the hardest part of the trip. Having everything we need to make sure they are safe and fed as well as able to be located and brought home has been critical to making our trips go more smoothly.
Inside the doggie bag
- Food (we pack an extra few days in case something should happen to the food or we get delayed)
- Food Dishes
- Water dish
- Collars–we use this on the beep or vibrate function if they tend to wander off. They respond very well to the beep, resorting only to vibrate if necessary. We have never had to use shock. Make sure charged before you go.
- Toy
- We used to bring glow sticks when we go to the cottage/camping–it allows us to find them in the dark–Nolan has taken up chewing on those so we have updated to light up things that hook on.
Not pictured but you may want to add:
- Make sure collars have phone numbers (if not microchipped)
- Make sure to have rabies tag on collar
- Flea and Tick meds & Heart worm meds
- Vet phone number
