Fall decorations for indoors and outdoors

One of the most exciting things about the change in seasons is decorating for them! I love decorating for fall both indoors and outdoors. Though I love all the seasons, fall is one of my favorite (and it may or may not have an extra bin than the rest of the seasons/holidays. I should note I do have Halloween and Thanksgiving decor I add to and change out a bit to keep the decorations fresh as they hang EARLY September-Thanksgiving day.

Mantle

I am beyond excited to decorate my new mantle with the shiplap backdrop!

When decorating a mantle, the key is to make it personal. Do what you like. Do what is special to you. I also read groups of 3, tall outsides low insides.

Our garland is Hearth and Hand 2019, they have pinkish leaf one this year. I got the filler in the vase (from our trip to South Carolina) from Target. Wine bottle was a message in a bottle (paper-1 year anniversary) and from my mother in law. The saw tree is one of Grandpa’s saws cut into a tree after he passed. The diffuser is linked, and the burlap pumpkin is Target dollar spot (2019). The tobacco basket and thankful (originally silver I used my matte spray paint to make black) are Target Dollar spot 2020.

Island/Counters/Tables

When decorating your tables, counters, islands, other surfaces, you again want it to be personal, functional (or not hinder the function) and bring you joy. I personally like to have a few staple pieces: my table taper holder that I can change out the insides, the island charger, etc.

I love my Hearth and Hand glass and metal taper holder. I got it Holiday 2018, I have found it on resale sites like Mercari. I have linked other terrarium type fillers too. Linens like runners and placemats help make it cozy, too!

I love stacking different heights. I love my linked candle holders because they can hold tapers or fat candles. I like fake ones for safety reasons. I also love fall florals! A leaf garland is always a great touch!
