We used the Little Blue Truck books as the decor themselves. As I was linking them I discovered there is a new book being released in September: Little Blue Truck Makes a Friend! You bet I have preordered it!

Invite
I continue to make the invites in Canva using clip art I purchased on Etsy. I love to be able to add a photo and then I print and send the invite to people who cannot come and add to the kid’s memory box so they can always look back on what they looked like at certain ages and what their interests were.
Shirt
I found this adorable shirt on Etsy. The price was very comparable and it was absolutely perfect. It was customizable to name and age.
Decor
Bryce typically gets a birthday party that is smaller because it is indoors (Wisconsin Aprils) and covid kind of changed that. Decor is usually limited to the small cake corner. (There is also less area to hide like in the garage for the other 2).
Cake
I made the cake from Duncan Hines, with Duncan Hines frosting because they are dairy free for Bryce. We got chocolate frosting (not milk chocolate) and it was still dairy free. I made one 9×13 cake, and 2 8″ squares. We used Gel food coloring to make the frosting. My sister in law, Kaiti, made did the decor from my crude crayon drawing. The pics were from the decor kit.
Favors
I continue to make little labels in Canva and then glue them on the paper bags I purchased years ago. I filled them with a little craft from Oriental Trading and a little car from Target this time.

What entertainment for the actual party did you have for the kids and was it also on theme with little blue truck? I’m struggling to sort out ideas for birthday activities. Thank you!

In the free printables from the publisher, they had coloring pages and a game. We mostly played in our back yard though!
