Is the Nugget worth the cost & wait?

I discovered the nuggets on Instagram. It seemed like they were a part of a lot of giveaways and I noticed them in a lot of my dream playrooms. I did a little research and found a whole Nugget community. You will meet people who are crazy (I mean that respectfully) about nuggets, colors, etc.

Upon seeing them in even more playrooms, seeing that preorders were available, and a color that would match our playroom came available, I decided to make the plunge and get one for our family. After having one for 9 months and building things and playing with it, we decided to purchase another. Purchasing 2 gives us 2 thick/sturdy pieces, 2 soft/bendy, and 4 triangles. They do not have an affiliate program so I do not make anything off of purchases and this is not a paid ad.

The nugget is only sold on their site or second hand. They are costly. They run at $229 for the microsuede, $259 for the colors that come in the double brushed microsuede. That is a big investment, I am not going to like, but if you look at the cost of foam and microsuede, the cost does make sense. There are a couple staple colors and then there are a couple limited edition colors. You never know how long a color will stop or when a new color is coming (though they do hint at it on social media if you follow!) Currently, you can preorder a color and it can take up to 2 months for them to come.

I have found them to have some really awesome perks and uses though!

One thing I love about the nugget is they are machine washable. In a playroom comes kids, spit, snot, puke, pee, sticky, dirty hands. We have had futons and couches in the playroom and they are hard to keep clean. I love that these covers are machine washable! You literally unzip, toss in alone on cold, and then hang to dry. They are not waterproof to protect the foam so if you have concern of potty training or issues, you can put the puppy training/inconsonance pads and put them under the cover.

Versatility of these things is amazing! We have gotten rid of our couch in the plaryoom and use this. When the kids cannot sleep or need a grown up to cuddle them, we can make it a bed. It is actually very comfortable (if it isnt an every day thing). We have built forts with it, made it a dark/quiet/tight space for our son with autism, a photo backdrop, a climber, a slide, crash pad, deep pressure (by going between layers) and jumping surface with landing mat.

All this versatility means that it can meet the needs of all 3 of my children. When you find a product that looks good, lasts long, cleans easy, and meets all the needs of your children (personally) I feel it is a win. In our home I 100% am grateful for the purchase of both of our nuggets.

We preordered our first in March 2020, we got it in June 2020 (as told). We preordered our second in January 2021, we got it in March 2021 (expected April). We have both in the color pebble.
